Larksong is a ShadowClan she-cat who has turned 42 moons old and is applying for Deputy. Played by Wolfie.
Why do I want the position? I'm going to be straight up first and let you know: I honestly just love being a high position. I've been playing them since I started Warriors RPing (I'm just very good with leadership roles, just tbh) and I've come to just love having the higher ranking characters. Who wouldn't?
Why would Larksong be good for the job? Larksong is always very determined to be the best, and with the responsibilities of Deputy, she will also gain the want of wanting the best for her Clan as well. Although being more of a loner in her own Clan, Larksong does mix well with others. She likes to keep herself busy and organizing patrols and watching apprentices train is just that - being busy. Even during the long trek to the valley, Larksong did her best to look out for her Clan as well as herself. Though she may be self-reliant, she doesn't think about it too much when it comes to helping others.
the example: (uhh.. I made up names... haha)
Breathing in deeply, Larksong tried to enjoy the morning air. She'd gone on an early hunt after organizing patrols of every sort and forgot to include herself in one of them, so a lone hunt would keep herself occupied, yes? So far she'd caught a thrush and a mouse and decided to head back and then go out again. Or maybe she'd stick around for a little while and make sure the apprentices were busying themselves if they didn't have anything to do this early in the morning. Just past sunrise it was and Larksong's green eyes looked up at the sun with envy. Such a simple life. Get up in the sky to let cats keep track of time during the day and then rest while the moon took her own turn.
Larksong sighed around her mouthful of prey as she began heading back to camp. Walking into camp, her eyes immediately found the fresh-kill pile. It wasn't as full as it was yesterday, but it wasn't even close to sun-high yet. Once sun-high passed it would be well-stocked. Larksong mentally praised herself. She kept up with the hunting patrols, always making sure that they brought back enough. She'd always been trying to be the best she could. Always. Just like her father. That determined gleam in her green eyes, the grace in her step that showed off her pride to everyone within sight. She wouldn't let any cat tear her down without a fight.
Larksong dropped her prey onto the pile and went to find a shady spot to lay down for a little bit - maybe catch an apprentice sitting around doing nothing. Spreading herself out in her patch of shade, she let her eyes wander across the Clan, watching the life happen before her eyes. She looked over to Tawnykit, an only child, playing with two kits who were a moon younger. She was old enough to be an apprentice, or so it looked like to Larksong. She watched as Tawnykit rolled around with the younger tom and evaluated the kit's instinctive battle skills. She wasn't the best Larksong had seen out of just a kit, but she sure had some natural ability. With a mental nod to herself, Larksong decided to sit and watch just a couple minutes longer.
As Tawnykit's mother Swiftclaw came out to tell the kits to stop rough-housing so much, Larksong thought of her own mother and began a tad rigid. She thoughts about being Lark-kit, always sitting off to the side just watching as her sister played with the other kits. Blueleaf wouldn't be paying any attention to Lark-kit, always thinking that Lark-kit was challenged or just out-of-the-ordinary. Blueleaf had always been afraid of the unknown and that had been her weakest attribute. It hadn't helped that Blueleaf let it known that it was her weakness. Larksong growled on the inside as she thought about the part of her family that ignored her and thought she was a freak.
Look at me now, Blueleaf. I'm going to be running the Clan one day. Are you finally proud of me? Are you finally accepting me as your daughter?
Larksong breathed in deeply to calm her mental thoughts, though any other cat may just think she was readying for a sigh. She'd always been amazing at hiding her true feelings, other than those bits of annoyance. Most cats didn't even know many of Larksong's opinions that didn't have to deal with the good of the Clan and she liked it that way. She didn't need friends. She didn't need any cat to depend on as long as she depended on herself, on her own strength. The Deputy stood and stretched, deciding that she needed a different mental topic or that she needed to busy herself quickly.
Her green eyes caught the sight of Hollowstar retreating into his den. Finally, a distraction. Her blue paws headed toward the Leader's den and she paused at the entrance. "Hollowstar, I'd like to speak with you," she said smoothly. At the sound of being invited in, Larksong gracefully padded in and sat down, curling her tail around her paws. She looked at her Leader, admiring his own strength and ambition. He was just as realistic as she was, and all of the Clans needed more realistic figure heads to guide the way to a better future with less problems and more full bellies. In that moment, she felt a great deal of thanks toward Hollowstar for giving her her position.
She mentally shook herself, focusing on what she came here for. "I was watching Tawnykit playing with some younger kits, and I think she is more than ready to being training," Larksong started off, getting straight to the point. She liked to be straight up about things instead of filling up the conversation with fluff. It made life quicker. "I was wondering if you had any plans for a naming ceremony soon, as well as any ideas for a mentor. I think that Littlebird would be more than obliged to mentor Tawnykit." Larksong thought of the Littlebird, the small she-cat who would most likely adore Tawnykit as her apprentice. They would be a good pair most likely and Larksong was pleased that she thought of the she-cat.
